Head of UK Compliance / MLRO

About the role

FDJ UNITED is looking for an experienced and strategic Head of UK Compliance who will also act as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO). Based in Gibraltar, you will lead regulatory compliance for the company’s UK online betting and gaming operations and serve as the primary liaison with the UK Gambling Commission.

Key responsibilities

• Hold the UK Personal Management Licence (PML) and act as the main interface with the UKGC and other regulators.
• Perform MLRO duties, including oversight of suspicious activity reporting to the National Crime Agency.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve the UK compliance framework covering AML/CTF, Safer Gambling, Consumer Protection and Marketing.
• Lead cyclical compliance monitoring programmes, maintain a compliance register and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Manage UKGC requirements such as returns, Key Event notifications, LCCP obligations and information requests.
• Provide pragmatic compliance advice across the business and support the Head of Legal on regulatory matters.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders, including the UK General Manager and risk functions.
• Represent the company at industry forums like BGC, GBGA and GAMLG.

Required profile

• Current or eligible holder of a UKGC Personal Management Licence (PML).
• Extensive senior‑level experience in UK online gambling compliance.
• Deep knowledge of the Gambling Act 2005, LCCP, AML/CTF (MLR 2017), Safer Gambling and Consumer Protection.
• Proven track record as an MLRO or deputy MLRO with experience in SAR filing.
• Strong strategic thinking combined with meticulous operational focus.
• Excellent communication skills and native‑level English proficiency.
