Bookkeeper / Accounting Technician

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Bookkeeper / Accounting Technician to join our Client Accounting team. You will own the day‑to‑day finance function for a premium client while also supporting a broader portfolio of clients with bookkeeping, management accounting, compliance and reporting services.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary finance contact for a premium client.
• Maintain full bookkeeping records, including purchase and sales ledgers.
• Perform bank, balance‑sheet and key‑account reconciliations.
• Prepare payment runs using a four‑eye process.
• Produce cash‑flow reports, manage petty cash and reconcile.
• Execute month‑end processing, trial‑balance reviews and prepare monthly management accounts with supporting schedules.
• Assist a portfolio of clients with accounting, tax, payroll and reporting obligations.
• Support statutory accounts preparation under FRS102, IFRS and local GAAP, and aid corporate tax and dividend return filing.
• Liaise with auditors, accountants and external advisers, maintain client records and monitor contract renewals.
• Respond to client enquiries and collaborate with colleagues to achieve KPIs.
