Client Accounts Assistant – Part Qualified

About the role

This hands‑on Assistant Manager position supports a fiduciary client in Gibraltar, combining technical accounting work with supervision of junior staff. You will own a portfolio of clients, deliver high‑quality service, and help the management team with daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounting transactions, journal entries and reconciliations for multiple clients.
• Prepare statutory accounts in line with applicable standards and local law.
• Compile Gibraltar tax computations and submit tax returns.
• Act as the primary day‑to‑day contact for assigned clients, handling queries and building long‑term relationships.
• Assist with client payroll preparation and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Monitor deadlines and guarantee timely delivery of accounts, tax returns and payroll.
• Coach and mentor junior team members, supporting their technical development.
• Support workload planning, prioritisation and allocation across the team.
• Identify and escalate technical or compliance issues as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and systems.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified ACCA or equivalent experience, with a commitment to CPD.
• Minimum three years of accounting experience, preferably in a professional practice, fiduciary, trust or corporate services environment.
• Proven ability to manage a client portfolio and build effective relationships.
• Experience with Gibraltar tax computations or ability to acquire this knowledge quickly.
• Strong organisational, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
