Due Diligence Team Leader

About the role

We are looking for a Due Diligence Team Leader to head our compliance team in Gibraltar. You will ensure that all customer onboarding and ongoing monitoring meet the highest regulatory standards, supporting our fast‑growing online betting and gaming business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the day‑to‑day activities of the Due Diligence team, allocating tasks and monitoring performance.
• Review due‑diligence reports and decide on the continuation or initiation of customer relationships, documenting rationale.
• Analyse source‑of‑wealth and source‑of‑funds documentation to confirm legitimate income and address affordability concerns.
• Motivate, coach and develop team members to meet service level, quality and operational targets.
• Deliver monthly performance reviews, KPI reporting, quality checks and spot‑checks.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and licensing requirements across all jurisdictions.
• Act as first point of contact for escalated KYC/Due Diligence queries and resolve complex customer issues.
• Prepare account reviews and summaries for senior managers and deputise for the Due Diligence Manager when required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a Due Diligence or AML environment, with a track record of making decisions based on customer information.
• Understanding of the end‑to‑end due‑diligence journey across multiple territories.
• Knowledge of UK AML legislation, Gibraltar Money Laundering Regulations and GBGC/GGC LCCP requirements.
• Strong organisational abilities, attention to detail and the capacity to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to coach and motivate a team.
