Financial Controller & Regulatory Reporting Officer (Gibraltar)

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Controller & Regulatory Reporting Officer to lead finance for our Gibraltar entity and oversee the ARQ UK cost centre. Reporting to the Group Controller, you will own month‑end close, statutory reporting and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Own the month‑end close for Gibraltar, preparing accurate IFRS‑compliant financial statements and maintaining the chart of accounts.
• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations in line with the Transfer Pricing Policy.
• Oversee financial operations of ARQ UK as a cost centre, conducting monthly cost reviews, variance analysis and budget monitoring.
• Prepare statutory accounts, liaise with external auditors and ensure timely tax provisioning.
• Design and maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with Gibraltar and UK regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• 5+ years of experience in financial control, accounting or audit, preferably within regulated financial services.
• Proven track record of owning month‑end close and delivering statutory‑quality financial statements.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS or UK GAAP and experience with multi‑entity accounting.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a lean, high‑ownership environment.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
• SQL for data extraction and analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or SAP.
