Head of Customer Due Diligence

About the role

DAZN Bet is seeking an experienced Head of Customer Due Diligence to lead its global CDD function. You will own the end‑to‑end KYC, Enhanced Due Diligence, source‑of‑funds/wealth verification and ongoing monitoring across all licensed markets, ensuring compliance with AML legislation and the company’s risk appetite.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the CDD function across multiple jurisdictions, meeting service level agreements for accuracy and speed.
• Build and manage a geographically distributed CDD team, fostering a high‑performance culture focused on quality and continuous improvement.
• Standardise KYC and EDD processes into a unified global framework, simplifying decision‑making.
• Produce CDD management information and performance reports, highlighting volumes, SLA performance, quality metrics and emerging risk trends.
• Collaborate with Product, Technology, AML, Safer Gambling, Payments, Compliance, Legal and Product teams to ensure a coordinated approach to customer risk.
• Drive the adoption of automation and AI tools to increase efficiency, accuracy and scalability as the business expands into new markets.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in customer due diligence, KYC, AML or related compliance functions.
• Strong understanding of AML legislation, licence conditions and risk‑based decision making.
• Demonstrated ability to lead distributed teams and manage cross‑functional projects.
• Excellent analytical mindset with a focus on data‑driven performance reporting.

Required skills

• Knowledge of KYC, Enhanced Due Diligence and ongoing monitoring processes.
• Experience with automation, AI‑enabled tooling, and technology integration in compliance operations.
