Internal Audit & Risk Manager

About the role

The Internal Audit & Risk Manager will lead the development and maintenance of BVGroup’s risk management and internal audit framework. Working closely with business stakeholders, you will identify, assess and monitor risks, evaluate control effectiveness and provide insights that drive informed decision‑making and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the enterprise risk management framework, including risk identification, assessment and monitoring.
• Lead the production of risk and audit reports for senior management and key stakeholders.
• Create, implement and manage Control Owner Self‑Assessments (COSA) via the risk management platform.
• Plan and execute risk‑based internal audits, highlighting control weaknesses, emerging risks and improvement opportunities.
• Track audit recommendations to completion, providing progress updates and escalating overdue actions.
• Promote risk awareness across the organisation through training, guidance and stakeholder engagement.
• Collaborate with business teams to strengthen controls and support continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Liaise with external auditors and advisers to support audit and assurance activities.
• Monitor third‑party assurance activities and flag associated risks or emerging concerns.
• Support the ongoing evolution of risk management practices in a dynamic environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in internal audit, risk management or a similar governance role.
• Strong understanding of enterprise risk management frameworks and internal control environments.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver audits and assess the effectiveness of business processes and controls.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships at all organisational levels.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a practical, outcome‑focused approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting findings clearly and confidently.
• Highly organised, self‑motivated and able to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
