Management Accountant

About the role

The Management Accountant will support the Finance Director and Senior Management Accountant in delivering accurate financial reporting, budgeting, project costing and analysis for a commercial company based in Gibraltar. You will work closely with project teams and other departments to ensure costs, revenues and work‑in‑progress are recorded correctly.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, profit and loss statements, balance sheets and supporting schedules.
• Produce regular financial reports and management information within agreed deadlines.
• Support month‑end and year‑end accounting processes and the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor actual performance against budgets, analyse variances and provide explanatory reports.
• Analyse departmental and project costs, investigate significant variances and identify cost‑control opportunities.
• Track project expenditure and revenue, prepare project cost analysis and work‑in‑progress calculations.
• Support cash‑flow monitoring, accounts payable and receivable activities and working‑capital management.
• Participate in finance‑related projects to improve efficiency and data quality.

Required profile

• Qualified accounting professional (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
