Payment Operations Lead – Remote

About the role

The Payment Operations Lead is responsible for end‑to‑end execution of all payment‑related activities, ensuring internal and external parties receive timely, accurate, and complete services. This fully remote, full‑time position works within Xapo Bank’s payment execution and authorization policies.

Key responsibilities

• Organise the Payments team workload and supervise Payments Analysts.
• Guarantee smooth payments execution, meeting SLAs and handling exceptions.
• Maintain operational relationships with external banking partners and manage related investigations and documentation.
• Represent the Payments team in strategic aligned teams (SATs) and facilitate cross‑functional communication.
• Develop, maintain, and improve policies, processes, and internal controls.
• Monitor transactional metrics, identify performance issues, and propose improvements.
• Liaise with internal or external audits to provide required operational information.

Required profile

• Proactive, accountable, and strong leadership qualities.
• Ability to organise workload, motivate analysts, and achieve objectives.
• Deep understanding of Xapo products and related operational processes.
• Experience leading or participating in cross‑functional projects.
• Effective communication with internal stakeholders and external partners.
