People & Culture Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced People & Culture Manager to lead HR activities for two new restaurant openings in Gibraltar. This hands‑on position will shape the people strategy, build a strong culture, and ensure smooth HR operations from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end recruitment for the new restaurants, partnering with managers and external agencies.
• Manage onboarding to deliver a positive first‑day experience for all hires.
• Design and deliver in‑house training programmes and support managers in developing high‑performing teams.
• Provide day‑to‑day HR advice, handling employee relations and performance issues.
• Oversee payroll processing, reporting and analysis.
• Ensure compliance with Gibraltar employment legislation, health & safety and other regulatory requirements.
• Work with the regional People & Culture team to establish HR infrastructure and embed the desired culture.

Required profile

• Previous HR or People & Culture experience, preferably in hospitality, restaurants or a fast‑paced service environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in recruitment, employee relations, training and payroll processes.
• High level of confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive matters.
• Knowledge of Gibraltar employment law and local HR requirements.
• Fluent Spanish is essential.
• Legal right to work in Gibraltar.
