Senior Legal Counsel - Employment and Privacy

About the role

ARRISE is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide expert advice on employment and privacy matters across its global operations. The role requires a detail‑oriented lawyer who can support the business with timely, practical solutions while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical, timely legal advice on employment issues such as terminations, complaints, and flexible work arrangements.
• Advise on privacy‑related matters and ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws.
• Draft, review, and update employment and privacy documentation, including contracts, policies, and notices.
• Conduct in‑depth legal research, monitor case law and regulatory updates, and assess legal risks.
• Liaise with external advisors and regulatory authorities to resolve issues and maintain compliance.
• Support other departments and team members as needed.
• Develop templates, processes, and policies to build a scalable legal function.
• Maintain records of group policies and ensure internal adherence.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of practising law with a focus on employment and privacy.
• Proven leadership abilities and strong analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Detail‑oriented with strong multitasking and prioritisation capabilities.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of employment and privacy laws in Malta or Gibraltar.
• Multi‑jurisdictional legal expertise (considered an asset).
