Treasury & Accounts Payable Assistant

About the role

The Treasury & Accounts Payable Assistant will support the Treasury and Accounts Payable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments and bank reconciliations. Reporting to the Manager of Treasury & Accounts Payable, you will help maintain accurate financial records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices by matching them to purchase orders, verifying GL coding and obtaining required approvals.
• Reconcile supplier statements, investigate discrepancies and monitor aged creditor balances.
• Prepare and execute payment runs for vendors, payroll, tax, duty, affiliates and other payments across multiple banking platforms.
• Download daily bank statements, perform bank reconciliations and maintain treasury records for effective cash management.
• Process and reconcile corporate credit and debit card transactions in line with company policies.
• Support month‑end close activities by maintaining accurate records and assisting in the production of management accounts.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers, banking partners and internal stakeholders.
• Assist the wider finance team with ad‑hoc tasks and projects as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable, Treasury or Finance Assistant role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with financial data.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with suppliers and internal teams.
