Head of Legal – Crypto & Financial Products

About the role

Revolut is seeking a Head of Legal to lead its crypto‑related legal function. The role will shape compliance and legal strategy for new and existing crypto‑asset and financial products as the company expands globally.

Key responsibilities

• Advise the business on compliance and legal issues surrounding the structuring of crypto‑assets and financial products for global markets.
• Draft customer‑facing legal documentation for these products.
• Ensure compliance with applicable financial services and crypto‑asset regulations.
• Collaborate with Product and Commercial teams to design solutions that meet crypto legislation.
• Manage regulatory expectations, applications and requirements to support product expansion.
• Proactively engage with local regulators, including the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission.

Required profile

• 6+ years of post‑qualification experience.
• Qualified solicitor, barrister or equivalent practitioner admitted in Gibraltar, the UK or another recognised common‑law jurisdiction.
• Significant experience advising on financial services regulation, either in‑house or at a leading law firm.
• Demonstrated expertise in distributed ledger technology, digital assets, crypto‑assets, payment services and regulated financial instruments.
• In‑depth knowledge of Gibraltar’s legal and regulatory framework for DLT providers, financial services and AML/CFT.
• Experience engaging with the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission.
• Familiarity with UK, Gibraltar and international financial regulatory regimes.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations, corporate governance and supervisory frameworks, with a pragmatic, risk‑based approach.
