Decorator – Painter & Refurbishment Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Decorator (Painter & Refurbishment Specialist) to join Yellow Tree’s property operations team. The role involves preparing and decorating a variety of assets – apartments, hotels, offices and commercial spaces – to a high‑standard before they are marketed or re‑occupied.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out painting and decorating works across residential, hospitality, office and commercial properties.
• Prepare surfaces before decoration, including filling cracks and holes, sanding, repairing imperfections and priming.
• Apply interior and exterior paints, wallpapers, decorative finishes and protective coatings.
• Ensure high‑quality finishes with meticulous attention to detail.
• Perform touch‑ups and refurbishment between tenants, guests or commercial occupants.
• Support renovation and property upgrade projects.
• Assist with colour selection and finishing recommendations when required.
• Protect furniture, floors, fixtures and property areas during works.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Coordinate schedules and priorities with the Property Operations team.
• Identify required materials, manage supplies efficiently and report any defects or maintenance issues discovered during works.

Required profile

• Right to work in Gibraltar.
• Previous experience as a decorator, painter, finishing technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials and surface preparation.

Required skills

• Painting (interior and exterior).
• Wallpaper installation.
• Surface preparation (filling, sanding, priming).
• Application of protective coatings and treatments.
