Assistant Reporting Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Reporting Accountant to join a leading insurance company’s high‑performance finance team in Gibraltar. This full‑time, office‑based position supports the preparation of statutory and regulatory financial reports and offers strong development opportunities within a progressive organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and submitting entity‑level and consolidated financial statements.
• Support the production of quarterly and annual external reports for regulators, auditors, and tax authorities.
• Help prepare Solvency II filings, including SFCR, RSR, and QRTs.
• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity for regulatory and statutory reporting.
• Support tax and regulatory filings such as Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) and corporate tax returns.
• Assist with implementing new reporting requirements and regulatory changes.
• Collaborate with the finance team to facilitate external audit processes.
• Work with internal stakeholders to document, maintain, and improve reporting processes.

Required profile

• AAT qualified or part‑qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience in insurance accounting or financial reporting preferred.
• External audit experience is an advantage.
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical capabilities.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
