Management Accountant – Bilingual English/Spanish

About the role

The Management Accountant will support the Finance Director in delivering accurate financial reporting, budgeting, project costing and analysis for a ship repair and conversion business based in Gibraltar. This full‑time, office‑based position requires fluency in English and Spanish and a strong focus on financial controls and decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets and supporting schedules.
• Produce regular financial reports and management information within agreed deadlines.
• Support month‑end and year‑end accounting processes and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
• Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts, analysing variances.
• Analyse departmental and project costs, prepare project cost analysis and work‑in‑progress reporting.
• Identify opportunities for cost control and operational efficiencies.
• Maintain compliance with company financial policies, controls and accurate accounting records.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a management accounting or finance role.
• Qualified accounting professional (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
• Strong analytical, numerical and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
