Finance Accountant – External Reporting (Gibraltar)

About the role

BVGroup is seeking a Finance Accountant to join its External Reporting team in Gibraltar. You will ensure tax, regulatory and statutory reporting obligations are met accurately and on time, supporting the financial reporting needs of a growing SaaS business in the iGaming sector.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit quarterly gaming regulator returns, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Manage direct and indirect tax obligations, including calculations, accruals, payments, reconciliations and statutory filings.
• Post Transfer Pricing journals in line with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Support the preparation of year‑end financial statements and audit files, ensuring timely completion of statutory and regulator audits.
• Reconcile and post payroll transactions, clear payroll‑related control accounts and assist with annual employee tax reconciliations.
• Assist with SaaS platform fee calculations, cost allocations and operational expenditure recoveries.
• Prepare player balance reconciliations, revenue reporting and financial analysis for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent) or equivalent professional experience.
• Previous experience in financial accounting, external reporting, audit or a related finance role within the online gaming industry or an accounting firm.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting requirements, including tax and regulatory returns.
• Sound technical accounting knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
• Experience preparing annual statutory financial statements across multiple jurisdictions.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with financial reporting systems.
