Head of Regulatory Affairs

About the role

Turicum Private Bank is seeking a Head of Regulatory Affairs to provide central oversight and coordination of regulatory matters across the institution. The role spans counterparty oversight, regulatory horizon scanning, policy management, and data protection responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate counterparty due diligence, onboarding, reviews, renewals and material changes, ensuring proper assessments, approvals and documentation.
• Monitor legal, regulatory and supervisory developments, assess impact on the bank and drive implementation to completion.
• Oversee the bank’s policy framework and register, ensuring clear ownership, regular review, approval and maintenance.
• Act as Data Protection Officer: advise on GDPR compliance, support DPIAs, raise awareness, liaise with data subjects and supervisory authorities, and escalate material risks.
• Maintain effective registers and management information, track actions and exceptions, provide constructive challenge and report material issues to senior management and governance forums.

Required profile

• Experienced financial‑services professional with a strong background in regulatory affairs, compliance, risk or related oversight, preferably within private banking.
• Sound knowledge of regulatory change, policy governance, data protection/GDPR and counterparty oversight.
• Proven ability to coordinate across business areas and control functions.
• Strong analytical, organisational, reporting and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
• Relevant higher‑level qualification; professional certification and DPO experience are advantageous.
