Project Manager

About the role

The Project Manager will oversee day‑to‑day project activities within a live hotel environment, coordinating contractors, suppliers and internal teams to ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to guests.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily project tasks, liaising directly with contractors, suppliers and internal departments.
• Build strong relationships with department heads and operational teams to drive operational improvements.
• Implement training programmes to ensure smooth transition of projects into live operations, including test processes.
• Resolve any operational issues that arise from project activities in collaboration with hotel management.
• Lead regular project meetings and progress reviews, setting clear expectations for suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance, quality standards and health‑and‑safety compliance.
• Address guest‑facing issues such as noise, access or service impacts during project execution.
• Implement financial control measures and cost‑control initiatives aligned with commercial objectives.
• Conduct on‑site quality checks, manage snagging processes and ensure compliance with brand, statutory and hotel policies.
• Lead practical handover of completed projects, including documentation, training and embedding improvements.
• Provide final project reviews, capture lessons learned and recommend improvements for future projects.

Required profile

• Project management qualification (PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent) preferred.
• Highly practical, solution‑focused and adaptable, comfortable working on the floor and behind the scenes.
• Strong decision‑making ability in fast‑paced operational settings.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging operational teams and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to deliver high‑quality results within a fixed‑term consultancy engagement.
