Terminal Operator

About the role

World Fuel is seeking a motivated Terminal Operator to join its Gibraltar marine fuel terminal. You will play a key part in safely receiving, storing, and transferring fuel products while working outdoors in a dynamic, team‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive fuel from vessels and transfer it into storage tanks following established procedures.
• Load and discharge product to company and third‑party vessels and road tankers.
• Perform tank gauging, product measurement, and inventory checks.
• Carry out daily inspections, routine maintenance, and basic operational reporting.
• Support emergency response activities and regular safety drills.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and adhere to terminal security protocols.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain required safety and operational training; firefighting/first‑aid knowledge is a plus.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on‑call as needed.
• Physical ability to work outdoors in all weather, lift 20–25 kg, and climb stairs/ladders.

Required skills

• Basic mechanical knowledge of pumps, valves, and gauges.
• Comfort using computers and handheld devices for data entry and reporting.
