Logistics Manager – Marine & Nuclear Services

About the role

The Logistics Manager will lead the Logistic and Mitie Stores teams, Marine Services and Nuclear support at HMNB Gibraltar. Reporting to the Deputy Account Director, the role ensures all contractual logistics activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate all ISP logistic activities, including supply, inspection and maintenance, ensuring compliance with authority regulations.
• Manage overtime, on‑call arrangements and manpower planning to meet operational demands.
• Lead the Hazard Waste team and ensure proper disposal in accordance with local legislation.
• Support Marine Services by coordinating vessel visits, LOGREQ responses and maintenance planning.
• Provide nuclear support, act as on‑call Incident Headquarters Representative during NPW visits, and maintain NERO/Intervention volunteer pools.
• Oversee MOD and Mitie stores, managing inventory, accounting, receipt, issue and disposal of equipment and publications.
• Administer asbestos and Legionella management plans and remedial works under the OPC contract.

Required profile

• Senior manager with a strong logistics or engineering background in the military or equivalent civilian sector.
• HNC or equivalent logistics qualification and recent senior‑management experience meeting operational and financial targets.
• Proven organisational and communication skills, able to lead teams through cultural change.
• Fluent English communicator, with good knowledge of Spanish.
• Willingness to work onsite in Gibraltar and adapt to evolving contract strategies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office suite.
• IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent H&S compliance).
• Experience with CAFM systems.
• Training in NERO and REPPIR procedures.
• Asbestos P405 qualification.
• Legionella L8 qualification.
