Head of Client Accounting

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Client and Fund Accounting to join our dynamic team. The role offers the chance to work across a diverse portfolio of corporate entities and investment funds, including traditional and digital assets, reporting to the Finance Director.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support a portfolio of clients with annual and management accounts preparation, ensuring compliance with UK/Gibraltar GAAP/IFRS standards.
• Perform and review NAV calculations, reconciliations, and investment portfolio valuations for funds.
• Prepare and review financial statements and investor reports, sign off independent accountant reports, and liaise with auditors.
• Lead the development of accounting procedures, operational controls, and provide technical problem‑solving support.
• Support companies and funds investing or trading in crypto assets, applying accounting knowledge to digital asset transactions.
• Foster a collaborative culture within the accounting team, mentor staff, and oversee recruitment, training, and performance management.

Required profile

• Qualified / Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with strong understanding of Gibraltar’s financial regulations.
• Proven leadership and team management experience in a client‑facing environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client‑focused approach.

Required skills

• IFRS and Gibraltar GAAP accounting standards.
• Fund accounting and NAV calculation expertise.
• Crypto asset accounting and valuation knowledge.
• Corporate tax computation and familiarity with Gibraltar tax regulations.
