Radiology Care Coordinator

About the role

GibMed International Hospital is looking for a proactive, patient‑focused Radiology Care Coordinator to manage patient pathways from referral through imaging, reporting and follow‑up. This senior administrative role ensures timely, seamless care and supports collaboration between clinical and administrative teams.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate radiology referrals, appointments and patient pathways across MRI and other imaging services.
• Monitor waiting lists, bookings and reporting timelines to minimise delays.
• Liaise with patients, clinicians, insurers and internal departments to facilitate efficient service delivery.
• Manage scanning capacity, including cancellations, rescheduling and appointment availability.
• Maintain accurate patient records, service performance data and operational reports.
• Identify and escalate pathway delays, capacity constraints and operational risks.
• Provide day‑to‑day guidance and support to administrative colleagues.

Required profile

• Previous administrative experience within a healthcare environment, managing patient pathways or waiting lists.
• Understanding of patient confidentiality, GDPR and accurate healthcare record keeping.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities when dealing with patients, clinicians and external organisations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to learn and use clinical and administrative systems such as PACS, RIS and electronic patient record platforms.
