Marine Surveyor – Gibraltar/Algeciras

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Marine Surveyor to join our global marine technical consultancy, supporting clients in the Gibraltar and Algeciras region. The role involves conducting casualty surveys, assessing vessel conditions, and delivering detailed technical reports to major marine insurance companies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Hull, Machinery, and P&I condition and casualty surveys.
• Assess damage, handle claims, and prepare comprehensive technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with principals, owners, brokers, and contractors.
• Travel domestically and internationally on a case‑by‑case basis.

Required profile

• Graduate from a technical university or qualified mariner (captain or engineer).
• Previous experience in the shipping industry; marine surveying experience preferred.
• In‑depth knowledge of international maritime standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Valid driver’s licence.
