People and Culture Generalist

About the role

Playtech’s People & Culture team is seeking a proactive Generalist to manage the full employee lifecycle and support a high‑performing, inclusive workplace across the UK and Gibraltar.

Key responsibilities

• Manage onboarding, contracts, immigration processes, probation administration and off‑boarding for all employees.
• Partner with managers and employees on employee‑relations matters, including disciplinary cases, grievances, absence and performance issues.
• Support performance and talent management by guiding objectives, development plans, probation reviews and employee development.
• Maintain compliance with UK employment law, UK GDPR and internal policies, contribute to audits and ensure accurate employee data.
• Drive engagement and culture initiatives such as wellbeing programmes, DEIB campaigns and employee events.
• Collaborate with the Senior People & Culture Director on strategic projects and continuous‑improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an HR or People & Culture Generalist role, including employee‑relations case management.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and best practice HR processes.
• Demonstrated ability to support performance management, employee development and end‑to‑end lifecycle activities.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Highly organised, able to juggle multiple priorities while handling confidential information with discretion.
• Experience using HRIS systems and Microsoft Office tools.
