Head of People Performance & Development

About the role

Midnite is looking for a senior leader to shape its People Performance & Development function. Reporting to the founders and working closely with VPs, you will design and deliver data‑driven programmes that raise performance, progression and learning across a fast‑growing tech scale‑up.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the RAD performance framework, from design through manager enablement, calibration and continuous improvement.
• Build clear progression and levelling frameworks that support high standards while scaling without unnecessary bureaucracy.
• Create a proactive L&D strategy that strengthens managers, develops critical capabilities and embeds Midnite’s cultural tenets.
• Transform performance data into talent reviews and succession plans to recognise, stretch and retain top talent.
• Use performance, engagement and retention insights to identify opportunities, test ideas and demonstrate measurable impact.
• Partner directly with founders, VPs and functional leaders, building trust, navigating resistance and adapting approaches without compromising outcomes.
• Lead programmes end‑to‑end: diagnose, design, launch, embed, measure and iterate.

Required profile

• Proven experience building high‑impact People programmes in a fast‑moving tech scale‑up.
• Strategic thinker who is also hands‑on, ensuring programmes work in practice.
• Creative challenger of conventional HR approaches while staying pragmatic and commercially focused.
• Data‑driven decision maker who can tell compelling stories and show measurable results.
• Credible influencer with senior leaders, able to navigate resistance and drive change.
