Senior Manager, Investigations

About the role

GiveDirectly is establishing a Central Intake and Investigations Hub to manage staff concerns globally. The Senior Manager will lead this new function, handling complex investigations and building the hub’s processes and relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and operationalise the Central Intake and Investigations Hub across the organisation.
• Build relationships with People, Internal Audit, Safeguarding, HR managers and Country Directors to ensure effective concern management.
• Lead the most complex investigations, produce findings reports and recommendations.
• Define investigation standards, provide oversight and quality assurance for staff‑related matters.
• Create and maintain the system of record for staff investigations, run regular reporting and calibration.
• Shape case‑management system design, leveraging technology, automation and AI to scale the function.
• Recruit, manage and develop future Program Managers for Investigations and Intake & Reporting.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years experience leading workplace misconduct investigations, including senior staff and sexual misconduct cases.
• Demonstrated ability to build trust, influence without direct authority and maintain impartiality.
• Strong relationship‑building skills across functions and countries.
• Comfort working with difficult material while maintaining professional resilience.
• Alignment with GiveDirectly’s values and core competencies such as emotional intelligence and problem solving.
