Director, People Partnering

About the role

GiveDirectly is scaling its global operations and needs a senior people partner to support its Global Shared Services (GSS) team of about 200 employees. The role combines strategic HR partnership with building a new employee‑relations framework across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Act as trusted advisor to GSS leaders (up to VP level) on organization design, workforce planning, talent, performance and compensation decisions.
• Design and implement global employee‑relations standards, decision frameworks and enablement for managers, HR managers and staff.
• Lead org‑design initiatives, succession planning, and people‑side change such as restructures and leadership transitions.
• Audit country‑level case handling, create global standards, and work with Legal on delegated authority matrices.

Required profile

• 7+ years of HR business partner experience supporting senior leaders in fast‑growth or transformation environments.
• Proven track record building employee‑relations policies or frameworks from scratch and rolling them out across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience influencing without formal authority in a matrixed, international organization.
• Strong judgment, steadiness and ability to coach leaders on people‑leadership skills.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of employee‑relations processes, disciplinary and capability decisions across several legal jurisdictions.
• Expertise in organizational design, workforce planning and talent succession.
• Ability to develop and deliver enablement materials for managers and HR teams.
